Highs and Lows of High Fructose Corn Syrup

Highs and Lows of High Fructose Corn Syrup

On July 13, 2004, the Center for Food and Nutrition Policy (CFNAP) at Virginia Tech released a report examining High Fructose Corn Syrup (HFCS), which some have suggested is linked to obesity and Type II diabetes.

The report includes findings from a scientific workshop conducted by CFNAP, which was co-sponsored by the Joint Institute for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition, University of Maryland. Dr. Maureen Storey gave the presentation at a breakfast sponsored by Virginia Tech at the annual conference of the Institute for Food Technologists in Las Vegas.
