Issues in Testing Methodologies in Biotechnology

The proceedings from the Ceres® Roundtable: Testing Methodologies in Tracing, Segregating, and Labeling Foods Derived from Modern Biotechnology held in February 2003 are now available.

The Conference was hosted by the Center for Food and Nutrition Policy in collaboration with the Pew Initiative on Food and Biotechnology and fostered an opportunity to examine the key issues on testing methodologies with topics such as detection thresholds and reliability of testing methods and liability issues when protein or DNA fragments are detected.

The agenda included an overview of the issues of tracing and segregating plant-based biotech ingredients throughout the food supply chain. The following documents are in PDF form, download the free reader here.
