Balancing the Equation
The Health and Lifestyles
of America’s Children

This conference was held in collaboration with the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (AAHPERD) in February 2000. Pediatricians, dietitians, physical education experts, and behaviorists discussed the importance of energy balance to the health of America’s children. The role of parents, caregivers, school systems, and teachers was examined to identify ways to reverse the trend of greater physical inactivity among our youth. Edited by W. Sansalone.
